Her AKC name is "O'Mal's New Jersey Hurricane Holly." Story behind her name: Our family left for the long drive to the Upper Peninsula in Michigan from New Jersey right after Hurricane Sandy hit our area. We came home with her the day after the 2012 Nor' Easter hit. Gee, now that I think of it, she should have been called Stormy! Anyway, when she runs around the house at full speed, she is actually like a little tornado!

Nick name: 'Holly Bear', because when she runs away she tucks her tail in and she looks just like a bear cub with all that fluffy fur!

Holly was born August 25, 2012 in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. She has 7 litter mates, one of which looks just like her. Holly's mom is Jazzy, and her dad is Theodore.  We watched Holly from day one on her breeder's web cam, although we weren't quite sure at the time which puppy would be ours. We first met Holly who was known at the time as Kes, when we stopped by in mid-October to meet her (on our way to Colorado.) Then when the time was okay for her to leave her mom, we drove out to make her our own. On November 6, 2012 Holly began her long trek to the Jersey Shore with her new human parents and her human sister. Holly was absolutely perfect on that very long drive home. She was given her lovely name in memory of her grandma Holly. Holly just missed what was the Jersey shore's worse hurricane, known as Super Storm Sandy (reason for her AKC name!) She missed the hurricane, but we were all driving home into a Nor' Easter that wreaked havoc on trees and wires. Holly was able to experience her first snow fall very early, and really enjoyed it. Entering her new home, she walked all around and gave it her approval! Favoring the living room the most, that is where she spends most of her time. To catch up on her very early weeks, (lots of pictures) here is the web site of her terrific breeder: O'Mal Malamutes FYI: Her puppy ID name on this website is Kes.

This web page will serve as a diary for us her family and a way to share a 'few' photos with you.
